Whispered by the wind and cradled by the moon, my soul walks the liminal spaces between worlds. Rivers call my name, their rushing waters singing the songs of ancient stones. Barefoot upon the earth, I weave spells with candlelight, dance beneath the moon, and tend sacred altars that echo with the whispers of Avalon. My heart beats in rhythm with the magic of a time long past—of healing witches, Merlin’s wisdom, and the breath of dragons. Step into my world, and perhaps you’ll remember yours.

Coffee and Revolution – Girlfriends, Gratitude & Grace: Inspiration and Anchor

In February 2020, I had just returned home from a memorable girls’ weekend in Palm Springs with two remarkable women.  One of whom I have known since I was 5 years old and one I have known since the three of us navigated through our senior year of high school together in 1987. One could easily say we have been a part of our maiden, mother, and crone years together.  These two truly touch my soul. Despite living in different cities and navigating our busy lives, we have tried over the years to stay connected, something that is not always easy with its challenges in a busy stress stress-filled life.

As the chaos of the COVID-19 pandemic unfolded in April 2020, we found ourselves confined to our homes, yearning for a sense of normalcy and connection. We agreed to meet via FaceTime one Saturday morning and what unfolded was a precious gift during a very challenging time. I used the term  “coffee and revolution” to describe our Saturday morning FaceTime goss sessions.  It was during these virtual gatherings that we talked endlessly about the challenges and uncertainties currently surrounding us, we took a dive into our memory bank and reminisced about all the adventures we have been on and talked about what the future might look like.

Amidst the chaos, something beautiful emerged. Our conversations filled with love, laughter, and serious discussions formed the bedrock of a solid support system. We dove deep into reconnecting with one another and ourselves, realizing that the bond we have always shared is more like family than mere friends. It was a “gift” of time that we embraced, immersing ourselves in the friendship revolution centered around FaceTime and a cup of coffee.

Looking forward to those weekly calls became a highlight of my week. A few Saturdays ago, the photo above was taken, capturing the essence of our commitment to Coffee and Revolution and has become our guiding principle in navigating our crone years.  Together, we have remained steadfast in our dedication to staying connected, nurturing our friendships, and supporting one another. This photo serves as a tangible reminder of the power of friendship and the resilience we have discovered within ourselves. It symbolizes the beauty of finding solace and strength in each other, even when physical distance separates us.

Through our coffee and revolution FaceTime gatherings,  we have grown closer, cherishing the moments we share and the support we provide. It is a testament to the enduring power of human connection and the transformative impact it can have on our lives. It reminds us that time, distance, and a pandemic that shut down the world can not stop the power of friendship.

So, as I gaze upon this photo, I am filled with gratitude for the friendship we have cultivated. It represents a commitment to love, laughter, and navigating the storms together. It reminds me that even in the face of adversity, we can find much-needed solace, strength, and joy.
