The Answer is... (Click Icon)
The answer is yes we are all made the same with cells, organs, and bones. although, as we know the human body comes in all different shapes and sizes, there is an area of science that puts
body types” into 3 categories known as Somatotypes, a taxonomy developed in the 1940’s by a psychologiest to categorize the human physique. The three somatotpes are Ectomorph, endomorph and mesomorph. Each body type was given a name from the 3 germ layers in the embryo. Yes you were truly born with the body you have!
Endomorph Body Type (click Icon)
The Endomorph Body type is linked to the mesoderm layer, one of the three germ layers in the embryo, which develops into the digestive tract, will have a shorter and round type body frame. Endomorphs have a softer build. They can put on muscles really well, but can also put on fat very easily. Once an endomorph has gained the extra adipose tissue (fatty tissue), they find it more difficult to lose. The muscles that develop can be large when they are tended to but can easily become softer and less defined. This body type can be described as “stocky” and they are typically short as well as round. An endomorph will have to be careful about what they eat. Their bodies are better at storing calories than using them. Endomorphs houd consider monitoring their carie intake and teir macros if they are looking to lose weight.
Ectomorph Body Type (Click Icon)
The ectomorph body will have a body characterized by a thin frame that has a hard time putting on muscles and is typically weaker than the other two body types. This body type forms in the ectoderm layer. Their muscles are long and stringy and will have narrow shoulders and flat chest. Because this body type has a hard time putting on weight they will need to build muscle and increase their strength. They will have to be very intentional with their form of exercise and food intake. It is recommended that the ectomorph body type focus on shorter workouts, so the body is in muscle-building mode, focusing on compound movements.
This type of exercise uses multiple muscle groups and requires more energy and neurological activity than isolation movements.
The Mesomorph Body Type (click Icon)
You are a mesomorph body type. This body type forms in the mesoderm layer which develops into muscles and blood vessel tissue.
Their bodies adapt quickly, and they will respond very quickly to specific training for the mesomorph, such as resitance training. this body type is suited well for most sports. Because the mesomorph responds well to traing it also responds well to calories. It uses food for energy, but if there’s any leftover, it will get stored as fat. The storage of additional calories as fat is an old process meant to protect us from starvation back when food was scarce.
Working out is about so much more than exercise. It is a catalyst for positve changes, and it affects every aspect of your life.
